You see an ad that is advertising free puppies, or a pet for adoption, all you need to do is pay the shipping and this beautiful little darling is all yours to love and give a wonderful new home to, just send a three hundred dollar money order to Africa. Now as ridiculous as this sounds, everyday people fall for this type of scam, Anthony Denicker of Animals Away Pet Relocation said,

"It is very important for consumers to research and verify experience and reliability when selecting a pet relocation services company," said Denicker, "Ask all the questions you can come up with and get specific details so you can feel comfortable with who handles your precious pets. Research pet relocation companies to confirm their service offerings, local and world office locations and clientele/referrals to ensure you are not misled by false claims."

It also seems that many times these crooks do not speak clear English and do not like to talk on the phone. AnimalsAway.com is considered by many to be the leader in the relocation and moving of pets, they report at least twenty five contacts a week from unsuspecting animal lovers looking to help a missionary or holy person, from Cameroon with a Tea cup Yorkie,or English bulldog puppy almost always being the main bait.

Denicker said, "Consumers should be sure that they are comfortable and can confirm their pets are the main focus. When moving or purchasing a pet make sure to use a reputable pet shipper that has experience in the industry. You should not trust anyone not willing to have a conversation with you."

The purpose of this blog, is to try to get this scam some exposure! This is going on every single day. When searching for a little puppy, or baby monkey or any type of pet on the Internet, never, ever, ever send money to anyone in another country without being sure that you know who you are dealing with. Beware of "to good to be true" sounding ads, they almost always are.

Also beware of fake shipping companies, these criminals say will be delivering your new pet, always go to the source, or the company they claim will be shipping you the pet. A good way to be sure is to check on the IPATA website, which is the home of all professional pet shipping companies and will help to protect you from loosing your hard earned money.
